Acne & Acne Scars at a glance
Acne treatment at Srihouse Luna has two goals: calming active breakouts and improving the marks and scars they leave behind. Active acne is managed with salicylic peels, deep-cleansing facials and a simple routine, while dark marks and pitted scars are treated with peels, microneedling and collagen-building sessions once the skin has settled.
Treating active acne
Acne develops when excess oil, dead skin and bacteria clog the pores, often triggered by hormones, stress or diet. We use salicylic peels and extraction facials to clear congestion and calm inflammation, along with a simple home routine. Severe, painful or cystic acne, or acne linked to PCOS, may also need care from a dermatologist or gynaecologist, and we are happy to work alongside them.
Treating acne marks and scars
Flat dark marks are pigmentation and respond well to peels and brightening treatments. Pitted scars, such as ice-pick, boxcar and rolling scars, are a change in skin texture and need collagen-building treatments like microneedling over several sessions.
Patience and prevention
Avoid picking or squeezing spots, keep your routine simple and use sunscreen daily so marks do not darken. Consistent sessions and good home care give the best long-term results.

Acne & Acne Scars: frequently asked questions
Can acne and acne scars be treated at the same time?
Active acne is usually calmed first. Once breakouts settle, we focus on marks and scars, although some treatments such as peels help with both.
How many sessions are needed for acne scars?
Pitted scars typically need four to six microneedling sessions, about four weeks apart, sometimes combined with peels.
Do I need medicines for acne?
Mild to moderate acne often improves with treatments and good skincare. Severe or hormonal acne may need prescription medicines from a doctor, and we can work alongside your doctor.
Will my acne come back after treatment?
Acne can return with hormonal changes or stress, but a good routine and occasional maintenance sessions help keep it under control.
